How do you encourage ownership among delegates?
To satisfy delegates, we conducted an electronic survey and organised focus groups for past attendees, non-participants and the various audience demographics. This revealed a need for a variety of different learning formats, which has increased satisfaction ratings and attracted new participants.
How do you engage exhibitors?
We created an advisory group that represents the industry partner community. To identify trends that we can respond to with solutions, we distributed electronic surveys and captured feedback via face-to-face conversations with exhibitors at our trade shows.
It is vital to respond to exhibitors with how you are addressing their concerns, which we do through an electronic newsletter, a printed newsletter distributed to exhibitors' booths at the show, exhibitor briefing meetings, and exhibitor town-hall meetings, which are held on-site while the experience is still fresh in their minds.
We hold a sponsor summit specifically for these stakeholders to share what we have done as an organisation over the past year and to gain their input for the future.
