Gilkerson joins the group as part of parent company Choice One’s growth strategy after nine years working at Pfizer.

As European category leader in procurement (meetings & congress) he was responsible for the regional strategy and operations for meetings and congress activity across Europe.

In his new role as group procurement and commercial director at the W&O group, Gilkerson will work across all areas of the group building on relationships with existing and new procurement clients.

He will support the account directors and business development team to better understand client procurement objectives and ensure a positive and mutually beneficial relationship.

"I am delighted to join the Choice One group and look forward to working with W&O to support the strong account management and business development teams," said Gilkerson. "By optimising procurement contact relationships I hope to dispel some of the common myths of working with procurement. Working with such a high quality team I believe we will continue to drive revenue growth throughout 2013."

W&O managing director Sallie Coventry added: "Andrew’s appointment is a sign of healthy times and reaffirms our position as a growing agency. His expertise in key account management and industry knowledge will be a huge benefit to our clients."
