Matthew Foxton-Duffy has been made regional head of marketing for Cheltenham Racecourse, in a role that also covers operator The Jockey Club's South West region. He becomes responsible for promoting the racing and conferences and events offerings at Exeter, Warwick and Wincanton. He was previously sales and marketing manager at Windsor Racecourse.

Cheltenham has also hired Lee Moulson as racing sales manager, handing him responsibility for growing revenue streams including hospitality. He was previously commercial manager at Warwick Racecourse.

Renton, whose remit also covers Cheltenham and the South West, was previously managing director of Arena Leisure.

He said: "Collaboration between the venues in our region is a key objective of the new structure, making it easier to share best practice, promote a consistent set of core values throughout the Group, increase the effectiveness of sales and marketing to customers and reduce costs."
