Frantom, who left the global pharmaceutical group in October last year, has been charged with helping PB grow its business, especially in the healthcare sector.
The agency has this year won four pitches for undisclosed drug launches and will look to further grow new business by tapping into Frantom’s 15 years’ marketing and events experience at AstraZeneca.
Norfolk-based PB, which last year generated a turnover of just over £5m, employs around 40 staff, who are based at its Norwich head office and Edinburgh satellite operation. The agency is solely owned by managing director Ian Greenfield.
Frantom joined AstraZeneca in 1997 as head of conferences and events. Since then, he held a number of posts, including most recently corporate brand manager and project manager.
Framtom said: "PB have always impressed me with the quality of their people and service mentality. I am pleased to be supporting them in going from strength to strength."
Greenfield added: "We have always been happy in the knowledge that we know our team is one of the best in the industry, but it’s a shame that the team don’t sometimes receive the recognition that they deserve.
"So things are about to change and Pb are going to make some noise."
