The event, which took place yesterday (16 January), coincides with Barclays hiring its 500th apprentice in its programme to tackle youth unemployment.
The day-long London event was one of four being held across the country today. Similar events took place in Coventry, Cheshire and Newcastle. The event was designed to inspire and motivate more than 100 young Barclays apprentices, providing them with careers advice and networking opportunities.
Tackling youth unemployment was high on the agenda and attendees had the opportunity to map out their career plans for the future.
Members of Barclays’ senior management team were in attendance, including chief executive Antony Jenkins, and chief executive of Barclays Retail and Business Banking, Ashok Vaswani, who both delivered speeches.
Ruby Chagger, conference and sales manager at Congress Centre said: "Barclays is a loyal and regular client of Congress Centre’s and we were delighted to welcome them back to the venue and host such a worthwhile event."
