Carmel Dennis and Gaelle Connolly replace Jenny Nathan, who previously provided support to BVEP and will continue to work on event management for Visit Britain.

Responsible for managing and organising BVEP’s meetings, Dennis has been in the travel tourism industry for more than 20 years, and was previously marketing director for the Heart of England Tourist Board and conference officer at the University of Liverpool.

Providing administrative and financial support, Connolly comes from a background in tourism and has been working as a researcher for TEAM Tourism consulting for over ten years as webmaster and coordinator of all communications and associate meetings.

BVEP chairman Michael Hirst said: "Carmel and Gaelle have been managing the Partnership’s website over the last ten years, so they are both very familiar with our work and their extended support will offer us stability and reliability with our activity going forward. Their in-depth understanding of the sector and research work can also be put to good use on future projects."

Dennis and Connolly have also been working together on a project for the European Travel Commission that contains data on internet use worldwide, specifically for travel and tourism purposes.
