Annemieke Kroon, formerly senior project manager at Gielissen Exhibiton & Event Services BV, joins as senior accounts director. Antonio Dam – previously floor manager, Gielissen Interiors & Exhibitions – starts as senior operations director.

The new facility, part of the company's European expansion plans, will focus on producing exhibitions, conferences, congresses and corporate events.

Jason Popp, executive vice president international of GES, said: "We wanted to expand the scope and efficiency of the service our European customers have come to expect, and with our new operation in Amsterdam and the appointment of Annemieke and Antonio, GES is now ideally positioned to do just that. Our aim is to deliver exhibitions and events within the local markets by local teams that are supported by our industry-leading product and service platform, which is currently utilised on shows we deliver worldwide."

As part of GES’ global offerings, its UK-based operation, Melville GES, has recently made investments and launched a range of new products and services that are targeted at driving customer service.??GES already produces many shows across Europe including the European Seafood Show, European Attractions, LabelExpo and VitaFoods, and also recently produced the Health Ingredients Europe exhibition in Frankfurt from the company’s new operating facility in Amsterdam.??"This development complements GES’ strong and growing, global network with our business in the UK, custom exhibit design and build operation in Germany, global design and build agency (SDD GES) and our leading operation in the Middle East," concluded Popp.
