Citrix Synergy will be held on 23-25 October 2013 and bring around 7,000 delegates to the capital to experience networking, product innovations, technical training and insights from industry professionals.

Moving from Barcelona International Convention Centre (CCIB) – where the event has been held for the past two years – Citrix has appointed Excel London as its venue for 2013 and 2014.

Developers, resellers and partners will join for the two-day event, which also includes exhibitors Microsoft and Cisco.

Excel London executive director James Rees said: "It is a great new piece of business for us."

According to the venue’s senior account manager – North America, Andrew Swanston, one of the key reasons for Citrix choosing London was because of the company’s aim to grow the event.

"We generally see a 10-20% increase for events that come to London," said Swanston. "The Citrix team is already looking at innovative ways of using the space."

He added the growth of the technology industries in east London – especially around Silicon roundabout and East London Tech City - had also played its part in attracting Citrix to the capital.

Citrix is also holding a North America event at the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles on 22-24 May 2013.
