The Mara Intrepids camp, a two-minute drive from the all-weather airstrip, Ol Kiombo, offers a taste of the wilderness from the moment delegates step off the plane. Its 30 luxurious tented lodges are set on a spacious riverside site, creating clear vantage points of the naturally beautiful setting and local wildlife.
Tents are furnished in classic grand safari style, with four-poster bed, mosquito curtains and white linen.
July and August are peak visiting times for the chance to see more than a million wildebeest and zebra migrating across the nearby Mara River. Along with guided jeep and walking tours, incentive options include bush breakfasts and dinners, cultural visits to a local Masai community, dawn hot-air balloon safaris and overnight fishing excursions to Lake Victoria.
The camp is a six-hour drive from Nairobi, or 45 minutes by plane - Safarilink flies from Wilson Airport daily.
