TFI looks to grow corporate business with new recruit

TFI Group is seeking to boost its corporate client base with the appointment of Kelly Frisby to the newly-created post of sales and business development manager.

Frisby, who joins TFI from Definitive Events, where he was business development manager, becomes responsible for driving new business across all TFI’s business divisions, with an emphasis on its corporate arm. Frisby's CV has also seen him work at agencies including The Black Tomato Agency.

At TFI, Frisby will report to managing director Simon Maier, who said that the role was new in terms of its senior level within the company.

Maier added: "I am pleased to welcome Kelly Frisby to TFI, as he brings great experience in working with the corporate market, across sectors as diverse as IT, automotive, financial services and consumer business.

"His appointment is one part of TFI Group’s strategic plan to grow the business we already deliver for a range of long-standing corporate clients, including brands such as Philips and Jose Cuervo."

The group has also bolstered its associations division with the appointment of Punita Halladey as sponsorship and delegate acquisition manager. She becomes become responsible for building sponsorship and delegate revenues for conferences run by associations.

She said: "Companies can gain remarkable value from sponsoring association conferences, which are a really effective way of getting up close and interacting with engaged audiences."

Maier added: "This appointment sends a strong message to the association market, that TFI Meeting Point takes seriously the concerns of conference organisers and is willing and able to do something to help."
