Who? Capita Business Travel

What’s the lowdown? Capita’s events and business travel businesses employ a total of 900 staff across ten UK locations.

Why shine the spotlight? Capita acquired Expotel for £16m in August 2012, bringing together Capita Business Travel, BSI, Expotel and Venues Event Management under one umbrella.

Client work? Across the business travel and events management businesses, Capita works with clients including Virgin Media, National Grid, EE, BP and Eon.

What’s next? Capita Business Travel managing director Trevor Elswood said the aim for the coming year is to "move towards being one business, but everything we do will be about underpinning the specialist proposition".

"We are setting ourselves up to be recognised as the specialist, but we intend to make it very simple for clients to buy more than one area [of the business]," added Elswood.
