Aloft Panama, will debut in 2013, Aloft Merida, in Mexico, and Aloft Asuncion, in Paraguay, slated to open by 2014, while Aloft Montevideo is set to open in Uruguay in 2015.

The expansion of the Aloft brand in Latin America is part of Starwood's growth strategy, which includes strengthening its existing portfolio of 71 hotels in the region by 25% with 17 new Starwood properties scheduled to open by 2016.
The Aloft brand debuted in the region in December 2011, with the opening of Aloft Bogota Airport, before the launch of Aloft San Jose in Costa Rica in spring 2012.
Now, Aloft Panama will open on 1 July 2013, and include five meeting rooms. The first phase, with 126 rooms will open in 2013 and the second phase with 186 more rooms will debut in 2016.
Meanwhile, Aloft Merida in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula is expected to open on 1 July 2014 with 136 rooms and 50sqm of meeting space.
Aloft Asuncion, in Paruguay’s capital city, will feature 120 loft-like rooms and around 57sqm of meeting space.
In 2015, Aloft Montevideo will open in Uruguay, with 100 rooms and 210sqm of meeting space.
