More than 500 delegates attended the event at the end of last month, which featured product showcases and fashion shows by Wolverine brands including Cat, Hush Puppies and Merrell.

AOK managing director Alex Hewitt told C&IT that the event was last held at the Ritz Carlton Lisbon, but this year Wolverine - which is based in London - decided that Brighton was better for strategic reasons.

"The event was a huge success. There were thousands of different shoes being delivered to the event and it was an international hub for Wolverine's suppliers," he added.

Charlene Priest, personal assistant at Wolverine Worldwide Europe, Middle East and Africa said: "For the second time, our annual autumn/winter sales conference came together without a hitch, thanks to the detailed preparation and on-site support from the AOK Events team.

"Over nine days we held meetings for five brands and received over 500 delegates at The Grand Hotel, Brighton. The AOK Events team worked closely with each of our marketing teams to ensure both the day and evening events fit with the very different needs of our brands and the feedback from both our internal and external attendees since the event has been incredibly positive."
