Saffron joined BSI in July 2008 as proposal writer, having started her career in events at Euro RSCG Skybridge, where she built up her experience working on proposals and pitches.
Boss says "Saffron is at the heart of most projects within BSI Meetings & Events. She has proven herself to be very capable in interpreting clients’ requirements and translating them into a well-designed event, which is always on brand and within policy," says client services director Mark Scales.
Career high It’s always a real buzz when we win a pitch, but one that stands out is a logistics pitch we won for a retail client for 2,500 delegates in London – the event really contributed to further developing the client relationship.
Worst event moment Working a 48-hour stint with no sleep to get ?a pitch completed by the deadline – thankfully we won it.
I wish I’d run... I’d love to have been part of the 2012 Olympic bid team – that would have been fantastic.
Alternative career For serenity, I’d like to own a floristry business and an organic café by the sea, or to be a private detective.
My next step Working on more challenging and exciting briefs, and becoming known as an expert in my field. I’d also be interested in putting my knowledge to good use on the client side one day.
