Spanish-born Vanesa is a qualified teacher. ?She came to the UK when she was 22 and has worked her way through the ranks since joining TBT as a project administrator four years ago.

Boss says TBT managing director Pete Saunders says: "Vanesa has taken on leadership of one of our teams looking after incentive and communication programmes in South West Europe. Her key clients have recognised her efforts and the quality of service by entrusting her and the team with additional work."

Career high When I was promoted to my role as an account manager nine months ago. I am very proud of how my team and I have developed so many strong relationships within the account.

Worst event moment Last summer one of my colleagues and I had to organise an event in France for 40 international delegates in four days. It was a lot of work and I was very apprehensive but we managed to make it run smoothly.

I wish I’d run... a chaotic event like La Tomatina [the food festival and tomato fight], which attracts up to 40,000 people.

Alternative career I’m a qualified Spanish and English teacher, but I also wouldn’t rule out running my own business.

My next step Managing a bigger account, developing client relationships and providing a consistent quality of service.
