Krakow conference centre to open in 2014

Krakow is planning a drive to attract business events to the city with the opening of a new conference centre in 2014.

Plans for the ICE Krakow Congres Centre were revealed at EIBTM in Barcelona this week (27-29 November).

Covering 36,000sqm in total, the new centre - scheduled for an autumn 2014 opening - includes three halls, an auditorium, a theatre hall and a chamber hall.

A total of 45 meeting rooms range in size from 12sqm to 660sqm, while the centre´s largest space can seat 2,000 delegates.

Meanwhile, construction is also under way in the UNESCO World Heritage City in Poland to develop an exhibition centre, Expo Krakow.

Also scheduled to open in 2014, Expo Krakow will cover 13,000sqm, of which 9,000sqm is exhibition space.

Its largest space can be transformed into an auditorium for up to 4,000 delegates.
