Alexandra studied Spanish and Portuguese at university but always wanted to work in events. She progressed from event executive to become the youngest event director at her previous agency.
Boss says "Alex is an outstanding performer who has continued to grow and develop," says James Wilkins, joint managing director. "She represents the company values and continues to be a trusted adviser, internally for her peers and externally for clients."
Career high Running a gala party at Old Billingsgate for 1,000 people. It wasn’t complex but it was highly stylised and looked exactly as I wanted it to.
Worst event moment A client requested dancers for a conference and I was nervous about what they were going to wear because I’d seen promotional pictures. In the changing room they seemed fine but on stage their outfits were very revealing from behind. Not a good sight at 3.30pm at a conference.
I wish I’d run... the Olympics opening ceremony – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Alternative career If I wasn’t in events I would be either in fashion or styling. ?I absolutely love clothes.
My next step My ultimate goal is to get onto the board of a fantastic agency. I also like mentoring my team and I’d like to explore doing that within the industry.
