The A List 2012: Cara Beswetherick, Adding Value

Cara started her events career at Euro RSCG Skybridge in 2001, before moving over to PCO Congrex UK for two years. But she missed agency life so went back to her ‘roots’ and joined Adding Value in 2010.

Boss says "Cara has made a huge contribution to our success in the past year. One example of her excellent work was her coordination of our delegate management for a large global incentive for a telecoms client last year. Such was her success that delegates asked if Randle [Stonier], our CEO, worked for her!" says managing director Tina Morris.

Career high Arranging logistics for more than 200 delegates from a global audience to get to Mauritius, and they all arrived in one piece.

Worst event moment Leading the delegate management for seven events in one month. It was very scary but, with the support of a great team, I survived.

I wish I’d run... I would love to work on The Brits. I could get all the gossip.

Alternative career I was in an amateur dramatics group when I was younger. So if I hadn’t got into events I’d have won a BAFTA by now!

My next step Taking over the entire events industry – one spreadsheet at a time.
