Ruth started out doing risk assessment for St John Ambulance events. She also worked at ?Capita, running a government meetings-management project ?for children’s schools and ?families, before joining BCD M&I, where she implements enterprise clients (meetings management programmes).

Boss says "Ruth has been instrumental in implementing several of our key customer accounts. Her unflappable demeanour, coupled with a rigorous approach to problem-solving, make her an invaluable asset," says Matthew Wall, vice-president, operations EMEA.

Career high Getting the first set of data on the government project and proving that the system worked, and that strategic meetings management does work.

Worst event moment We designed an event-management system, forgetting to add an ‘Are you sure you want to delete?’ button – then accidently deleted two events with two weeks to go.

I wish I’d run… A big, glamorous charity ball or dinner.

Alternative career I did a degree in agriculture, so probably doing something with rare breeds.

My next step BCD M&I is rapidly expanding enterprise clients, so I’d like to set up an implementation team and develop a training plan for strategic meetings management.
