Jez joined Sledge in 2006 after a chance meeting between his mother, who worked at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow, and Sledge’s CEO, Nic Cooper, who was running an event there. Six years and a big promotion later, he remains grateful for that foot in the door.
Boss says "Jez has been an excellent, hard-working flag carrier for Sledge. He has developed one of our key clients from ‘one conference a year’ into a ‘multiple events across the globe’. He embodies the spirit of Sledge and is extremely popular," says Cooper.
Career high Growing my main account, a global investment bank, to a number of events.
Worst event moment On the first conference I managed, the production manager printed an alternative set logo so he could wind me up that I’d done it wrong. It got changed minutes before the delegates walked in.
I wish I’d run… Anything football-related, like the Champions League final.
Alternative career Anything for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club – anything at all.
My next step I just want to go as far as I can with Sledge.
