The A List 2012: Dominic Thomas-Smith, Smyle
Dominic worked at Perrier Parties before joining Smyle in 2004 as Smyle Events’ first full-time employee. He has worked his way up through the ranks, joining the board a year ago.

Boss says "Dominic has been with Smyle since the birth of the events management side of the business. Through his hard work, dedication and excellence in event delivery, in seven years he has been a major contributor to Smyle’s sustained growth, reputation and achievement in winning Eventia’s Agency of the Year 2011," says managing director Rick Stainton.

Career high The Rolls Royce Phantom launch, and the Ryder Cup opening and closing ceremonies.

Worst event moment Almost the whole Smyle team were stuck out in Dubai because of the ash cloud, and I was left in Blighty to run six shows in six days with just two colleagues.

I wish I’d run... The Olympic opening ceremony in London – that would be pretty special.

Alternative career Running my own bar in New York, or anything that involved living on an island in the Pacific Ocean.

My next step Continue on my journey with Smyle and help develop the business – we’ve got some really ambitious plans.
