Alton Towers Resort has appointed Ellie Jones as business development manager.

Jones has more than 10 years’ experience within the hospitality and events industry, including previously working for Zibrant overseeing the business growth of several corporate client accounts.

Jones will be responsible for developing a sales plan and marketing platform in order to build and retain business relationships with key markets and increase overall sales revenue.

She said: "I’m really excited to be working with the team at the Alton Towers Resort. I thrive when faced with a new challenge and the position of business development manager is the perfect opportunity for me to use my creativity, strong communication skills and business knowledge to significantly increase corporate sales at Alton Towers Resort.
 
Jones previously worked for the Principal Hayley Hotel Group as business development manager, before joining the team at Alton Towers Resort, where she was responsible for sourcing new conference and training business for 10 key venues across the group.
