A focus on "commerciality and profitability" are key elements for the business, said Riches during the agency’s Thanksgiving event on 22 November.

"In the last year we have grown the UK business by a third in terms of fees and profit, and we expect that to continue next year," added Riches.

"We have increased the team by 16 people this year: First Protocol is here to focus on the future, and while it is a sign of the times that we are cautious, we are in a strong position and feel optimistic."

Around 70 delegates joined the First Protocol team in its London office to celebrate Thanksgiving and join the agency’s annual supplier awards, captured in pictures here.
