Jess started working for a family-run company specialising in sailing events before joining MCI UK in September 2009 to get more experience running a wider range of corporate events.
Boss says "Jess is always looking to add value and for innovative ways to enhance projects without compromising quality. She encourages an alternative approach to project management, which in turn inspires the team to operate in an open and expressive manner," says Martin Richardson, director of meetings and events.
Career high Innovate – an event I worked on last year. We had quite a short lead time and one of the key objectives was to grow attendance. The 2,500 headcount exceeded the client’s goal.
Worst event moment MCI delivered the 2011 London Conference on Cyberspace and Hillary Clinton was due to speak, but had to pull out at the last minute because her mother was taken ill. But we managed to line up the vice-president via a live feed from the White House instead.
I wish I’d run… Smirnoff Sensation at The O2 – it was an awesome event.
Alternative career I used to be a professional dressage rider, so I’d probably be doing that.
My next step A senior management role.
