Hilton Worldwide is to open a Doubletree by Hilton in Merida, Mexico.

Built around an early 20th century mansion, the four-story hotel will feature 100 rooms, 278sqm of function space, a business centre, fitness centre and outdoor swimming pool

"This latest addition in the exciting city of Merida is a prime example of our efforts to bring the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands to new destinations, and provide travellers a Hilton Worldwide hotel wherever they may visit in the remarkable country of Mexico," said Danny Hughes, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America, for Hilton Worldwide.  

Dining options include the signature restaurant La Casona Colón, open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and boasting a blend of local specialties and Caribbean cuisine prepared using French culinary techniques. 

La Raspa bar provides exclusive cocktails and beverages.
