Jess has just been promoted to head of events and joined the new senior management team at Line Up. She joined the agency in 2011 after spending 11 years at George P Johnson.

Boss says "Jess has quickly proved herself a firmly committed member of the team. She has played a crucial part on some major pitch wins, is focused, calm, clear-headed and a real people person – just some of the assets that have led to her recent promotion," says managing director Rob Leach.

Career high A party I organised for IBM for 2,500 people in a villa overlooking Rome, with a Dolce Vita theme.

Worst event moment During a European roadshow, flights were cancelled due to strikes and my crew could not get on site, so I had to unload trucks and start setting up staging on my own.

I wish I’d run… Something like The Brits would be fun, with a good budget, great staging and talent.

Alternative career A leisure travel journalist.

My next step Assist in the strategic growth of Line Up in my new role as head of events.
