Brown has worked in the events industry for the past 20 years and was previously co-owner of audio visual facilities house Backstage Events. More recently he has worked as a consultant for Universal World Events.

Brown will manage and deliver in-house production services and will be responsible for client pitches and proposals when there is a production requirement and the production delivery of successful events. He will also be responsible for managing the relationships between Universal World Events and their network of preferred AV suppliers.

Mark Saxby, sales and marketing director, said: "In addition to having an extensive knowledge of the production industry, and the key suppliers and operators within it on an international basis, Stuart knows the pharmaceutical industry very well. This is a brand new role we have created to recognise the increasing incidences of full service events with a heavy production requirement. This appointment will enable us to develop our production services and to offer our clients a ‘one stop shop’ solution for their event needs."

Brown added: "This is a very exciting opportunity to mould and develop Universal WorldEvents production offering to their clients. I have worked with the team at UWE for a number of years on full service events so although this is a new in-house role I am familiar with the surroundings and the direction the business is moving in. I look forward to making a real difference to our events moving forward."
