Imex America sees 28% growth for 2012 show

Imex America has reported a 28% increase in size for its 2012 show, with 77 new booths and 2,413 exhibitors.

Germany is this year’s single largest exhibitor at the show, and 40% of the show’s original exhibitors have returned with larger booths for 2012.

Space taken from exhibitors representing Africa and the Middle East is up by 49%, according to Imex, with the Caribbean up by 61%, Latin America by 50%, Asia by 29%, and European exhibitors by 14%.

US exhibitor space has increased by 23%.

More than 2,000 hosted buyers are expected to have attended by the close of business on Thursday.

Imex group chairman Ray Bloom said: "Buyers have made an outstanding number of appointments with exhibitors in the past month and we are certain that an enormous amount of business will be done on the show floor and in the networking receptions over the coming three days."
