W&O has opened an office in Dubai Media City, United Arab Emirates, prompted by a growing demand for healthcare events in the Middle East.

Olga Shults has been appointed as regional head of events for the new office to spearhead the company’s entrance into the Middle East market. 

With previous experience in the conferencing and catering industry for companies including Ritz-Carlton, Shults will be working with sister company Choice Healthcare Solutions to grow business within the local market.

W&O will deliver the Dubai Diabetes Summit from the new office later this month. it is also bidding for a number of strategic events taking place in the region over the next six months. 

Sallie Coventry, managing director at W&O, said: "We are delighted to be opening the new office in Dubai in recognition of the demand in our areas of specialism. It is a key step in the on-going development of our global footprint and our ability to provide clients with global reach supported by a local service. This expansion affirms our commitment to the Middle East marketplace which is a priority for W&O and the Choice One Group".
