- Hotel Legend

This stylish renovated townhouse opened this summer as a design-led boutique hotel. Perfect for small incentive groups seeking something out of the ordinary, the Left Bank property's 38 rooms and suites are all individually designed: Suite Dream Catcher's decor, inspired by Native American Indian culture, features leather, fur and feathers, while Narcisse features shades of green and rippling water motif designs. For events, the Secret Passage suite can be booked as a meeting room for eight delegates.

- Castille Paris

Starhotels Collezione's chic 108-room property, near the Place Vendome and Place de la Concorde, completed a £20m renovation this year. The final phase saw the redesign of its 40 Opera Wing rooms, which now boast a fresh, contemporary style using classic materials such as marble and oak. For events, there are two meeting rooms on the mezzanine floor with natural light and total capacity for 50 people.

- W Paris Opera

After all the high-profile launches of 2011, this year's newcomer is soaring in the Paris style stakes and shows that the W brand can adapt to its home backdrop. Monochrome tones are omnipresent in the 91 rooms and suites but complemented by quirky fabrics and prints featuring a feline Marie Antoinette. The mezzanine floor offers meeting spaces for up to 16 people, while functions for up to 150 can be held in the W Lounge.
