The 166-room AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot will be operated under a franchise agreement with SHEPI SNC.

The AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot is Marriott International’s 14th hotel in the capital city and its third AC Hotel by Marriott in France.

The joint venture and co-brand, AC Hotels by Marriott, was launched last year, with the first hotel in France - the AC Hotel Ambassadeur Antibes Juan Les Pins – opened this year.

Meanwhile, the AC Hotel Nice is due to open in early 2013.

Marriott International in Europe managing director Amy McPherson said: "We have been actively seeking opportunities to expand into France where we see the brand’s urban lifestyle feel fitting perfectly. Ever popular with both business and leisure travellers, and one of the most visited capitals in the world, Paris is a robust market where we see continued development opportunity for this exciting brand."

The AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot will be located to the west of central Paris in the district of Porte Maillot, overlooking the Boulevard Périphérique.

The hotel will have a fitness centre, and AC Lounge and Bar.
