Raucher will have responsibility for Tom Tom's consumer business unit and will manage all of the company's brand marketing and communication activities globally. He will report to Corinne Vigreux, managing director of Tom Tom’s consumer business.
Raucher was previously at Philips, where he was vice president and head of brand and communications within its Consumer Lifestyle division. He started his career with Andersen Consulting, working with FMCG and pharmaceutical companies.
"With Gary on board, we are set to take the Tom Tom brand and marketing communications to the next level," said Vigreux. "His track record of developing innovative and effective marketing programmes will be a tremendous asset as we develop our business for future growth. Gary will play a key role at Tom Tom as we broaden our consumer product portfolio in growing categories."
Retailer launch events are understood to be among Raucher's remit.
