The eyes of the world were on Apple CEO Tim Cook, as he and his senior staff revealed what has been billed as late Apple boss Steve Jobs' final product. Other technology could also be revealed at a future event, including a 'mini iPad' model.
Event industry uses for the touted technology have been rife, with DRP's Ben Wallace recently saying that Near Field Communication (NFC) technology would be useful at C&I events. NFC would allow users to receive and share data locally.
More than 5,000 delegates attended the conference, with live streams from the event being viewed worldwide.
UPDATE: Apple's iPhone 5 launched with a taller screen (16x9 format), new earphones (EarPods), improved processing speeds (an A6 processor) and 4G capability. It will, however, not include NFC support.
