All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events chairman Nick de Bois will host the Britain for Events briefing at the House of Commons.

With the theme Events in the Community, the aim of the briefing is to capitalise on the positive effect of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and demonstrate the value of business events to local and regional economies.

Also presenting at the event will be Business Visits and Events Partnership chairman Michael Hirst, who is Britain for Events' campaign co-ordinator - and Visit England chief executive James Berresford.

Partners and supporters including Imex and International Confex will have the chance to network with MPs and members of local government during the event.
