The 202-room Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, is the ninth hotel in Europe for the luxury hotel company and has been created from four 19th century palaces.

The hotel has 850sqm of meetings and events space, including the 300sqm Crystal Ballroom decorated with thousands of crystals.

There are also two boardrooms and three function rooms with natural light, next to the hotel's first floor business centre.

Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company president Herve Humler said: "The hotel will bring the Ritz-Carlton service philosophy to the city and combine it with Viennese hospitality to create memorable experiences for guests whether travelling on leisure or for business."

The hotel includes 43 suites and a presidential suite of rooms on the second floor. The Club Lounge is located on the seventh floor and provides guests exclusive access to a private concierge service and views of the city.

There are a further four restaurants and bars, swimming pool, spa and fitness centre.
