Some 86 exhibitors participated and more than 200 lecture sessions took place at Finland's largest congress so far this year.

Roberta Odebrecht, Project Manager at K.I.T. Group, the congress organiser for the event, said: "We valued the centre’s good location and the local convention bureau offering free transport cards for the participants, as well as a Helsinki tourist information desk in the congress lobby.

"The Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre worked perfectly for a congress of this size and the service from the personnel was excellent. The location of the Holiday Inn hotel and meeting facilities under the same roof was very important for us. We had some 15 offices there and more than 20 meeting rooms in use at the same time during the congress."

The IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) is an annual event organised by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), in co-operation with the WLIC National Committee and the congress organizer, K.I.T. Group.
