Heatherton, near Tenby, has already hosted team-building activities for businesses including Sky, Admiral, BT and Milford Haven Port Authority.

Milford Haven Port Authority – which manages the third largest port in the UK – is set to hold an event at the centre next week.

A total of ten new employees will take part in activities at Heatherton on 23 August as part of an introduction to the company. The event will include team-building such as tackling a treetop trail, as well as a business-focused meeting in the new conference space.

Heatherton’s marketing and operations manager Simon Hilling said the centre had opened the conference space – which can hold up to 25 delegates – as part of its café development.

"We had a large space that was crying out to be a conference room, and has a nice balcony attached," said Hilling.

Activities the centre offers include its Heatherton Challenge – which incorporates elements such as karting and archery – and Hilling said it was particularly popular with clients from Admiral.

He added that Sky held an annual event at Heatherton in the autumn.
