Now in its 14th year, Social Enterprise UK have taken the decision to increase the scale and profile of the awards, introducing a dinner and glamorous awards presentation for the first time.

To help them achieve the required upswing in entries and guests and to raise the production values, Social Enterprise UK appointed Haymarket Managed Events as their partner following a competitive tendering process.

Social Enterprise UK has become the latest key account added to the association event specialists portfolio of awards and conferences.

Led by Helen Horton, Haymarket’s Awards Director, Haymarket will provide event consultancy alongside project management, marketing and production services. They have also made a commitment to use social enterprise suppliers where possible.

Peter Holbrook, CEO, Social Enterprise UK said: "While the awards are well established, the recent growth of social enterprise sector is the catalyst behind our decision to move the awards up a notch.  Not only are there more social enterprises starting up in the UK, but there are other organisations and champions supporting the sector and they too need to be recognised for their contribution."

Barney Roe, Head of New Business Development, Haymarket Managed Events, said: "I hope our track record of working with associations to grow successful events and our ability to create a viable business model which aligned with Social Enterprise UK’s objectives helped us to win this business. We also went beyond the tender specification and proposed a three-year strategy, which we felt was essential to the long-term success of the awards."

The awards will take place on 12 November 2012 to kick start Global Entrepreneurship Week.
