Two educational days have been planned – in Gdansk, Poland, and Belgrade, Serbia – at the end of August, while a further two sessions are in the pipeline for 2013 in the Balearics and Moscow, Russia.

The EIBTM Talks Technology sessions will include presentations from:

  • Shuli Golovinski, chief executive, Newton Strand

His talk will focus on how events industry professionals need to embrace technological innovation to enhance attendees' learning styles and experiences at an event.

  • Ewan MacLeod, editor, Mobile Industry Review

Macleod will highlight the fast-paced growth of the mobile industry and what the implications are for the meetings industry.

  • Adi Ben-Nesher, Event Skills

Focusing on improving the attendee journey, Ben-Nesher will share insights and key thinking points about how to add value to events and meetings delegates.

  • David Benitez, sales manager, Reed Travel Exhibitions

Discussing how interactive and digital tools will be vital in meetings and exhibition design in the future.

The talks take place in Gdansk, Poland on 28 August and then in Belgrade, Serbia on 30 August.

EIBTM exhibition director Graeme Barnett said: "We are really excited about the potential of the new EIBTM Talks sessions and we feel that by reaching out and supporting the industry, we will be able to help drive it forward through providing insight and knowledge into key issues."

EIBTM 2012 takes place 27-29 November, in Barcelona, and Reed Travel Exhibitions sales manager David Benitez added the talks would help give "regional markets a taste of what is to come at EIBTM".

Up to 100 delegates - comprising around 60% suppliers and 40% meeting planners - are expected at each of the sessions, which are being co-funded by local convention bureaux and Reed.
