Sledge's Laura Capell promoted to managing director

Sledge has announced the appointment of Laura Capell, one of C&IT's first A Listers, as managing director.

Capell joined the experiential agency as senior account manager in 2008 and was nominated as one of C&IT’s first ever A List in 2009, celebrating 35 of the best young agency professionals in the events industry aged 35 and under.

Capell most recently held the position of client services director at the agency where she managed the development of customer relationships for Sledge’s clients including innocent Drinks, Nivea and npower.

Her new role will see her focusing on the agency’s new business directives, financial accountability, and the day-to-day management of the company in addition to continuing the development of key client relationships.

Sledge CEO Nic Cooper will continue to his role in overseeing the agency’s growth and development.

Capell is one of several of C&IT's inaugural A Listers to have made managing director level, including Sallie Coventry at W&O Events and James Wilkins at Logistik.
