Famed for his larger than life personality, dry wit and brightly coloured suits, Somerset fell ill at the East London venue yesterday (25 July) and died suddenly.
Somerset was formerly chief executive of Mask and his achievements incude leading the International Special Events Society (ISES) as president.
Somerset was a great advocate of the 2012 Olympic Games and regularly contributed comments to C&IT. He spearheaded initiatives at Forman's including a partnership with Ronnie Scott's, an Olympics deal with Speedo and a Muhammad Ali exhibition within the venue.
