Lodestar's Bang Media buy brings new big name clients

Event planning agency Lodestar has bought Bang Media for an undisclosed sum, a deal that brings on board new clients including House of Fraser and Lexus Nexus.

The deal is the first of its kind for Lodestar, which is celebrating seven years in business this year.

Under the deal, Bang Media will be incorporated into Lodestar. Bang Media founder Sean McGrath will join Lodestar as executive producer and will add his experience of producing film and video to Lodestar's expertise in experiential and interactive events.

Phil Watton, managing director of Lodestar, said: "We're delighted to have Sean on board. He brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the team, as well as a number of new clients in the financial, publishing and retail sectors."

McGrath added: "It's great to be joining the team at Lodestar.

I'm excited by the breadth of the creative offer that I'll be able to share with existing clients and I'm looking forward to working with new clients across a range of sectors."
