The conference will take place on 6 July in the University of Sunderland’s newly-developed plenary space, based within its sciences complex in the city.

The event is expected to attract 150 delegates, including representatives from the Environment Agency and bodies such as local authorities, universities, regulators and developers. Content will focus on how brownfield (ex-industrial) sites can be redeveloped.

Sharon Olver, University of Sunderland’s commercial manager, said: "We are delighted to be hosting the NECLF and North West Brownfield Regeneration Forum’s annual conference as a direct result of the high class facilities combined with the faculty’s specialism in Environmental Studies."
