UK fails to close gap on US for association HQs

The UK has failed to close the gap on the US for the number of international non-profit organisation headquarters, according to the UIA's 2012-2013 Yearbook of International Organizations.

The UK has remained in third place with 748 international non-governmental organisation headquarters, after slipping behind the US last year.

The US has increased its number of organizations to 802 with Belgium remaining on top with 962, 78% of which are located in Brussels.

Edition 49 of the Yearbook of International Organizations is due for release in June, along with the UIA’s annual International Meetings Statistics Report.
