Feedback on the day’s restructured education programme showed that delegates appreciated the new format and content, plus the opportunity to discuss their current challenges and future strategies with fellow association event planners.
Sessions covered topics ranging from hybrid events, managing through change, collaborative curation and how to penetrate the Chinese market.
Harry Schmidt of the Religious Conference Mangement Association said: "This is the strongest Association Day I’ve ever been to. The programme has clearly been planned with a lot of foresight and it was blocked and segmented such that I could really get the most out of it. I’m now leaving with some excellent takeaways and 11 pages of notes!"
The day culminated in a networking reception at the Westin Hotel, where association executives and speakers were joined by IMEX exhibitors that are members of one of the organising associations – ICCA, AIPC, IAPCO, PCMA, ESAE, ASAE, IAEE and DMAI.
