Allum, whose CV has seen him work at agencies including Purchasepoint, Maritz and Skybridge, fills the newly created role at P&MM Live following a series of new business wins.
Allum’s appointment comes on the back of a buoyant first quarter for P&MM Live, with bookings boosted by several large conferences and events for a total of 25,000 delegates.
Allum said: "The increased client demand has been for a combination of conference events and automotive launches in Europe. P&MM’s Live has been a creative hothouse meeting these increased production requirements and we’re expecting to increase the division’s turnover on this time last year."
He will report to Chris Clarke, head of events at P&MM and Nigel Cooper, managing director of events at parent group Motivcom.
Clarke said: "Nobody is better placed than Stuart to oversee Live’s growth especially with his extensive career in live events where he has successfully executed events for an impressive number of the world’s leading consumer brands."
