The initial public offering (IPO) roadshow, which kicks off on 7 May, will see senior Facebook management run a series of events aimed at communicating the company’s strategy to prospective investors and banks. Its impact could influence how much the company raises in the flotation.

The IPO is widely expected to value Facebook at £100bn (£61.7bn); while the social network hopes to raise $5bn through its share offering.

News of Zuckerberg’s attendance at the IPO roadshow has come as a surprise to many, as he typically avoids the limelight.
