The congress is expected to attract more than 300 architects, designers and practitioners to discuss how to exploit the development of green roof technology.
The organising partnership, with event founder Living Roofs, marks TFI's first joint collaboaration.
Dusty Gedge, co-founder of Living Roofs and the world congress, said: "The World Green Roof Congress has great potential to grow as an event, especially given the increasing interest in all areas of biodiversity and green infrastructure. Our partnership with the TFI Group will help to achieve that growth, as we combine different areas of expertise to create a successful congress. The TFI Group brings its specialist events experience and infrastructure, to merge together with
our knowledge and passion for the subject.
"The congress is a unique opportunity for recognised experts and new researchers to present their progress, and for industry to support and engage with key decision makers in the green roof sector. Copenhagen will make a great location, particularly given its strong activities that promote green roofs in the city. The congress will have a huge
influence way beyond the event itself."
Simon Maier, TFI Group business development director, said: "This form of long-term commitment and partnership is an effective way of combining the subject knowledge and passion of the biodiversity community with TFI Group’s professional events expertise."
The World Green Roof Congress takes place from September 19-21, 2012 at an as yet unconfirmed venue.
