The venues alliance, which counts Davos Congress and Kongresshaus Zurich among its members, is working in partnership with the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau to host the evening event, which will take place at the Swiss Embassy in London. It hopes to attract more than 50 association professionals and congress organisers charged with implementing meetings for 500 or more delegates.

Representatives from the nine venues that form the alliance will explain what Switzerland can offer as a destination for large, world-class events. Congress Centre Basel business development manager Letizia Elia, who heads the Swiss Convention Centres group, said: "We have switched our focus to the UK as it was identified by the alliance as a target market. Working as a brand the convention centres hope to be better placed to exchange information".

Catering at the informal networking event will be from acclaimed Swiss chef Anton Mosimann. Association event organisers interested in attending can register their interest by email to celia.miranda@haymarket.com.
