The two venues picked up the accolades during the San Diego-based AIPC Annual Conference in July. VCC's Service Excellence Programme was honoured, while Suntec's 'Touchpoint' mobile interactive digital signage system impressed voters.

AIPC president Edgar Hirt said: "These winners are true leaders in that they are not only advancing their own centres and their ability to compete in the global market, but also helping make us more responsive to the changing expectations that are shaping the industry."

The Innovation Award was selected by a panel including AIPC board representatives, previous winners and industry consultants, while the Members Choice award was determined by AIPC conference attendees.
